US stocks open mixed. The Nasdaq is down. Dow up marginally.

<p>The major US stock indices are open with mixed results. </p><ul><li>Dow is trading up 11 points or 0.03% at 33250.16</li><li>S&P index is up 2.0 points or 0.05% at 3831.58</li><li>NASDAQ index is trading down one point at 10352</li><li>Russell 2000 is trading unchanged at 1749.50</li></ul><p>For the NASDAQ and the S&P, a down day today would be the third in four trading days. Meanwhile the Dow is up for the third consecutive day as investors continue the shift out of technology stocks into value stocks.</p><p>Tesla shares are trading up 2.63%. The shares this year have declined around 69%. There were reports that production in China would be curtailed in January due to slower demand.</p>
