Exxon and Chevron Smash Estimates!

ExxonMobil reported a record quarterly profit of nearly $20bn on Friday.

The largest US oil company's results were echoed at rival Chevron, who had a Q3 profit of $11.2bn.

These results were almost triple what was earned a year ago.

Will earnings be affected by supposed windfall taxes being added in 2023, or will high inflation keep the oil giants propelled?
