China COVID-19 update: All Beijing elementary/middle school & preschool classes canceled

Schools were to close over the Labor Day long holiday (April 30 to 4 May) but will shut a day early as a coronavirus prevention measure. 
Officials have not yet decided is schools will resume as scheduled on May 5.

Also:

    More than 1,000 flights were cancelled on Thursday after 20 employees of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport tested positive for COVID-19.
