Metatrader 4

 To log in to the Metatrader 4 platform, click on ‘File’ and ‘Login to trade account’.

A new window will open in which to enter the account number and password received by e-mail when the account was opened. The MT4 live server of Key to Markets is called ‘KeyToMarkets-Live‘ and, if it is not already pre-selected, you can choose it from the drop-down menu.

If you do not find the ‘KeyToMarkets-Live’ server from the drop-down menu, or if the MT4 does not connect using it, you can write the following address in the server window by hand: Ktmlive.keytomarkets.com:443

Metatrader 4 Demo

The procedure to login to a Metatrader 4 demo account it’s the same as the Metrader 4 Live account the server name is KeyToMarkets-Demo.

If you do not find the ‘KeyToMarkets-Demo’ server from the drop-down menu, or if the MT4 does not connect using it, you can write the following address in the server window by hand: Ktmdemo.keytomarkets.com:1950

Metatrader 5 Desktop

 To log in to the Metatrader 5 platform, click on ‘File’ and ‘Login to trade account’.

A new window will open in which to enter the account number and password. The MT5 live server of Key to Markets is called ‘KeyToMarkets-Server‘ and, if it is not already pre-selected, you can choose it from the drop-down menu.

If you do not find the ‘KeyToMarkets-Server’ server from the drop-down menu, or if MT5 does not connect using it, you can write the following address in the server window by hand: Mt5.keytomarkets.com

If it is the first time you start the MT5 platform, you may be asked to choose which company you are trading with.

In this case, simply type ‘Key to Markets’ into the search bar and click ‘find your company’. Then click on Key to Markets Group Ltd. and finally click on ‘Next’.

Metatrader 5 Web Terminal (Also from Iphone)

The Metatrader 5 platform also has a web version that can be accessed directly from the browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.), both from the computer and from Android and iPhone smartphones.

To access it, simply go to https://webtrading.keytomarkets.com

On the screen that appears, you will need to enter the account number (Login) and password for your MT5 account that you received by e-mail. The server name is pre-entered.

Metatrader 5 Demo

The procedure to login into a Metatrader 5 Demo account is exactly the same as the live account. We host both live and demo accounts on the same server, KeyToMarkets-Server.

You can recognise if you are trading on a demo or live account from the top bar of the MT5 window. If it shows “KeyToMarkets-Server: Demo Account”, you are trading on a demo account.

Also, the color of your account’s icon in the Navigator will be green if it’s a demo account and gold it’s a live account.

Frequent Errors & Solutions

Sometimes, the login procedure does not work as expected and you receive one of the following error messages: invalid account, invalid authorisation, no connection.

The error message is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner or inside the journal.

The causes of this error may be as follows:

• Account data (account number and server) are incorrect


• The password is incorrect


• The wrong server was selected 


• The account is archived


• Your platform is not connected to the Internet or your connection is weak.


• Your demo account has expired.

The following alternatives can be tried to solve the problem:

1. Make sure you enter the correct account number and password.
   
    If you are copying and pasting directly from the opening mail, it is important to ensure that you are not accidentally copying spaces before or after the account number/password.


2. Log on to your customer area at secure.keytomarkets.com and check that your account is still active.


3. Contact customer service at [email protected]
