He did not specify what he wants to do, but he has said/implied he wants TikTok to be Amerian owned and operated within the United States..

Trump benefited from TikTok in the election. He does not want to alienate the TikTok audience, but from China's side, they have a  valuable property to horse-trade with including lower tariffs (?)
