Paysend Selects Wilhelm Rohde as Group CFO

<p>The UK-based financial technology firm, Paysend  announced today that the company has strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Wilhelm Rohde, the former Vice President of Strategic Business Development at <a href="https://www.financemagnates.com/tag/american-express/" target="_blank">American Express</a>, as the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).</p><p>Rohde has a strong presence in the corporate sector. At American Express, he spent approximately 14 years and served in a wide range of senior-level positions. Prior to joining American Express, he worked at Deloitte Consulting.</p><p>Rohde joins Paysend from Swisscard AECS GmbH where he held the role of CFO for more than three years. Additionally, he was a member of the Executive Board.</p><p>Commenting on the appointment, Abdul Abdulkerimov, the Chairman at Paysend, said: "We're hugely excited to have Wilhelm join Paysend as Group CFO. His experience in helping payments companies to scale and navigate hyper-growth journeys will be invaluable to us as operational and financial growth remain important catalysts for the next stage of our growth story."</p><p>In the past few years, Paysend has expanded its global presence substantially. Earlier this year, the company opened a <a href="https://www.financemagnates.com/fintech/news/paysend-opens-its-official-americas-headquarters-in-florida/" target="_blank">new office in Florida</a>.</p><p>Partnerships</p><p>To meet the growing demand for innovative fintech products, Paysend announced the launch of a new Paysend Business product recently. On top of that, the company has formed several partnerships lately.</p><p>"Paysend has announced landmark partnerships with Deel and Currencycloud that complement Paysend's frictionless and borderless payments ecosystem where businesses can disperse funds instantly, anytime and anywhere. Since the start of 2022 Paysend has added 50 new receiving countries to its global payments network meaning that Paysend customers can now send money to over 170 countries worldwide and will reach the milestone of 8 million customers globally later this year," the company noted.</p><p>"I am excited to join Paysend, a global leader in the payments space that has and will change how money is moved around the world," Rohde commented on his appointment.</p>
