The US dollar surged to its highest level in two decades as aggressive interest rate rises from the Federal Reserve fueled the rally.
It now sits at its strongest level since 2002 with more upside supposedly on the way.
The euro and sterling have also suffered as investors have begun to question whether the European Central Bank and Bank of England will be able to lift interest rates very far this year.
