Lisa Cook confirmed as a Federal Reserve Board of Governors member

The partisan battles over Federal Reserve appointments continue. The Bank used to be supported on a bipartisan basis, not any more. 
The Senate voted to confirm Lisa Cook to the Federal Reserve

    a party-line vote, 51-50
    Vice President Kamala Harris breaking the Senator's tied vote at 50-50
Cook is the second Fed nominee of President Biden to win Senate confirmation.
