War Influence – German Customer View Lowest since 2021

German consumer morale appears to be falling in April; The e war pushed families’ economic and income expectations to a new record low since the 2009 financial crisis. According to GfK, the one-point change in the indicator corresponds to a 0.1% change in private consumption from the annual. The willingness to buy is a balance between positive and negative answers to the question – it is now an excellent time to buy essential items. The Revenue Expectations Sub-Index reflects the expectations for the development of household finance in the next year. The Additional Business Cycle Expectations Index reflects the respondents’ assessment of the general economic situation over 12 months.
